Since Itetero Daycare opened in 2022, our pilot phase has demonstrated what is possible when communities lead their own development.
Flagship Impact
When a mother can leave her child in a safe, nurturing environment, she can work. When she can work, she earns. When she earns, she can pay school fees, buy food, invest in her business. The child grows up with early learning, nutrition and protection. The cycle of poverty is interrupted — not by charity, but by infrastructure.
Itetero Daycare has been that infrastructure for more than 247 children and their families since 2022. The pilot phase is complete. Our current priority is expansion into host communities where no equivalent childcare exists, and sustainability through scholarships for the most vulnerable households.
